Achieving a Lasting, Beautiful Smile Through Home Care

Our primary aim is to provide you with a dazzling and healthy smile that lasts a lifetime. To achieve this, your personal care routine at home plays a pivotal role.

Building Your Personal Home Care Routine

Start with well-balanced meals, fewer snacks, and proper use of dental tools that help decrease plaque and bacteria linked to dental issues.

Effective Tooth Brushing:

  • Use ADA-approved soft bristle toothbrush and toothpaste to brush at least twice daily, preferably before bed.
  • Gently brush with a circular motion, angling the brush at 45 degrees to your gums. Make sure to touch the bristles to your gums.
  • Clean all surfaces of your teeth - the biting, chewing, and inner parts.
  • Brush the inside of your front teeth with the tip of the brush.
  • Don't forget your tongue for fresher breath and reduced bacteria.
  • Electric toothbrushes are recommended as they efficiently remove plaque. Place the bristles on gums and teeth, letting it work on a few teeth at a time.

Proper Flossing Technique:

  • Floss daily to clean between teeth and below the gum line. This prevents plaque buildup.
  • Use about 12 to 16 inches (30 to 40 cm) of dental floss, wrapping it around your middle fingers.
  • Gently slide the floss between your teeth, forming a "C" shape around each tooth.
  • Move the floss up and down along the sides of each tooth.
  • Floss holders can be helpful if regular floss is challenging.

Rinsing and Additional Tools:

  • If you can't brush after eating, rinse your mouth with water.
  • Discuss with your dentist or dental hygienist before using any over-the-counter rinsing solution.
  • Utilize any other dental tools suggested by your dentist, like interdental brushes, rubber tip stimulators, tongue cleaners, or irrigation devices. Fluoride and medicated rinses may also be helpful.

Personal Care, Lasting Smile

By maintaining a consistent home care routine and following these steps, you're taking significant steps toward a radiant and enduring smile.
